You have at least three ideas for a nonfiction book for adult readers that you would like to write—but which one is the most promising? How do you turn it into a book proposal? Where would you send it? Guided by Stephen Morrow, an experienced workshop leader with a passion for supporting first-time authors, this five-week class gives you the opportunity to present your ideas to the group then draft and redraft your book proposal. Everyone shares written comments on everyone’s written proposals, so there will be reading and writing homework each week.

This dynamic two-day comics workshop with Dean Haspiel teaches participants the fundamentals of visual storytelling through hands-on exercises. Ajamu Kojo – GREAT AMERICANS: Selected Paintings (2013-2024)

Join us for the opening of Brooklyn artist Ajamu Kojo’s solo show on view February 8 - March 10, 2025. The exhibition showcases portraits celebrating Black excellence in American history, featuring the notable "A Portrait of George Washington and His Slaves," which previously debuted at the 2024 Delta Triennial.
